Free After-School Performing Arts Classes
Exclusively for WMS Students!  
1:15 - 4 p.m., Wednesdays, Nov. 3—Dec. 15, 2010
(No class on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving) 
Wednesday Schedule:    1:15-2:30 p.m. First Class
                     2:30-2:45 p.m. Transition and Enjoy a Snack!
               2:45-4 p.m. Second Class
               4:15 p.m.  Bus Departure Home
Students have a choice of 2 of the following classes (Every effort will be made to give students their preferred classes, but it will be on a first come basis -- so return your application ASAP! 
_____African Drumming                         ______Tahitian Dancing                              _______ ‘Ukulele
_____Hip Hop Dancing                          ______Back Stage Production (at Kahilu)                         _______ Drama/Acting
 Includes healthy snacks and free bus transportation home to Waimea, Kawaihae & Puako.
A Grand Finale Performance will be held at Kahilu Theatre at 5:30 p.m., Wed., Dec. 15, for students to share what they’ve learned with their family.  A warm Mahalo to Kahilu Theatre Foundation, Ho’okako’o Corporation (our WMS Local School Board), numerous private donors and WMS teachers and school staff who make this exciting program possible for students!  

It is a privilege for WMS to be able to offer this program in partnership with Kahilu Theatre and other private funders.

For the safety of students, attendance is essential to BOTH classes EVERY Wednesday.  Students will be dropped after 2 unexcused absences.  If your child is unable to attend any class, families must inform Program Coordinator Bernie Marsh (887-6090 Ext. 241) or  Please leave a message if no answer.

Also, all school rules, dress code (must stay in school uniform), and behavior expectations apply.  This includes no cell phones, ipods or other electronics may be used during classes, and no gum, etc
