DISCOVERING, SHARING, AMPLIFYING, CELEBRATING 'STUDENT VOICE'!

posted Aug 8, 2019, 12:12 PM by Patti Cook

This is our theme for the 2019-20 School Year. We began the year with a schoolwide assembly featuring WMS Alumni Hunter Kalahiki Arnbrister, now a Parker School Senior. He talked about his time at WMS -- it was all about finding his "voice" and thanking WMS teachers and staff for supporting him through thick and thin. Hunter said his success at Parker began with realizing he had to work hard - harder than he ev
er had before and harder many others in his class - and then he acknowledged having learned to "do research" at WMS, and gain confidence as a public speaker. This he said has helped him become a member of the Parker School Debate Team, which has traveled to 6 other states for competitions where they consistently placed! MAHALO Hunter for sharing your thoughts and encouraging us to make the most of every day.
