Community partner: Meat package distribution at WMS
We recently learned that our school is one of several Waimea community schools that were named in a CARES grant award. All of our families are eligible to receive an allocation of beef valued at more than $50 one time per month for the next four months from September 2020 through December 2020. Waimea Middle School families have been divided into two groups with pick-up dates being different for each:

Starting Monday, Aug. 31
Waimea Elementary cafeteria will make Grab and Go breakfast available to middle school students starting Monday, Aug. 31. Meals will be served out of the back of the cafe Mamalahoa Hwy from 7:30AM to 8AM. The student must be in the car for the transaction. Lunches can be ordered through the WMS office by 10AM and picked up between 11-11:30AM. 887-6090 Ext 222. The student must be in the car for pick up. |
Assessment of where students are at
Aloha- WMS students will be able to show what they know starting next week. For the next few weeks we will use a screening tool (test) to find out where students are at academically. Our new tool is called NWEA. Students will be practicing on the format before they take Math, Reading and Science assessments. |
2nd Principal "Talk Story"
On Thursday, Aug. 6th we have scheduled 3 separate virutal meetings for a Q and A about school opening on Aug. 17th. The attached flyer has the time and the links. |
