Principal's Announcements:

TECHNOLOGY SURVEY (to do)
The technology committee needs some information from you in order to plan for moving forward with tech resources and training.  All staff with any technology, please take 5-10 minutes to to fill out this technology surveyhttp://goo.gl/ZVDCF

JUPITER GRADES - DEADLINES (to do)
With the goal of launching Jupiter Grades parent and student access at the Open House on August 29.  The first deadline for updating Jupiter Grades has been set at August 20.  We will use that first date to make sure everyone's got a handle on the system.  Following that, grades should be updated again for midterms: whatever is in Jupiter Grades at the end of the day on August 27 will be printed to be mailed home on August 29.  On a regular basis, Jupiter Grades should be updated on the 5th and 20th of each month.

MEETING MINUTES SHARING & ARCHIVING (to do)
Thank you to the department and grade-level chairs for being so conscientious about sharing minutes.  In the interest of organization, transparency, and archiving, we have created a folder in the S-Drive where I'd like us to put minutes for all the various meetings.  Michelle has created folders for each group to upload their minutes (this may be in addition to e-mailing the team).  Please upload minutes for any meetings you've already had and for future meetings.  The path to the folder is S:\2012-2013_SY\MEETING_MINUTES_12-13

MORNING RECESS COVERAGE (to plan)
Department chairs, please take a minute at your next CTP meeting to revisit the plan for morning recess coverage.  Specifically, let's make sure we're playing zone defense and covering all the areas on each day of the week.  So far, no incidents, but better to be preventative than reactive.

FACULTY INSERVICE MEETING - WED, AUG 15 - 1:30 to 3:30 (date info)
Monthly faculty inservice meetings this year will meet, as calendared, from 1:30 to 3:30 in Jade's room.  The first one of they year will be this coming Wednesday, August 15.  We will be working on a final version of our vision, reviewing professional development needs/wants, reviewing self-reflection data, clarifying the observations and evaluations, and beginning development of a common understanding of data driven decision making.

COMPUTER CART/LAB USE (info)
Student computer use hasn't geared-up to full capacity, yet.  There seem to be plenty of cart and lab times right now, so please just work together cooperatively for now while the technology committee works out the details of a fair, workable schedule.  Thanks.

GRADING POLICIES and SCOPE & SEQUENCES (info)
A lot of great work went into your grading policies and scope & sequence documents.  I now have them from everyone.  There is definitely some exemplary work being done by members of our team and we will have the opportunity to learn from each other and improve our craft as the year progresses.
